Missed Call Notification

Description

Service used to notify mobile network subscribers of calls that were made to their handset whilst there phone was unavailable. This could be for a number of reasons, but the notifications are sent usually on in these instances:

  1. Absent (turned off)
  2. Unreachable
  3. Busy

This application it distinct from the Abandoned Call Alert application which works for Voicemail subscribers where the caller hangs up before leaving a message. Missed Call Alert works for subscribers that are Not Voicemail subscribers. Calls are diverted to the service, the signalling information of the calling party, redirection reason, time of call etc is extracted, then the call is handed back off to the network where an SRF informs the caller why the call could not be completed busy/ unreachable / turned off.
